Thomas Ljungberg and I shot the wedding of Jana and Jonas at Djursholms kapell and Villa Pauli in Stockholm. In the morning we joined Jana at Rabi Rabi, where the hairdresser (Bengt Arvidsson) and makupartist (Susanne Persson, Manasi Makeup) made a wonderful job, Jana looked stunning! I´ve been using the Leica M9 for a year know, as a compliment to my Canon gear, and I just love it´s small size and image quality. A couple of weeks ago I got my hands on the Leica Noctilux-M f/0.95 ASPH and after some practise I felt ready and excited to try it out during a wedding shoot. Surprisingly the keepers rate was quite high even though I shot most of the pictures at maximum aperture. This lens is particularly good at isolating the subject from the background even if the background is close. The performance of the lens wide open i spectacular and to my surprice also stopped down. I think it is a great allround lens except from its minimum focusing distance (1m). Below are some favorite images, all shot wide open.
The final image was shoot with a 5DII ,24L and a 580II geled with full CTO filter.
